Regatta Waters Estate is a new development located in Cannonvale on the Whitsunday Coast. It is a 280Ha master planned community project, which will include an 18 hole golf course, town centre and 2,500 residential lots. It has an expected construction timeline of 15 years, JHLD was engaged by Latitude Developments to design the landscape and oversee installation of the works and Stage 1 of the project was completed in June 2014.
John worked with Golf Course designer Graham Papworth to develop layouts for the golf course, lakes and surrounds and he designed the weirs, creeks and associate waterways for stages 1 and 2.
Scope of works undertaken included:
- Extensive consultation with the developer, Council, and design and engineering consultants.
- Detailed design of stage 1, the estate entrance, lakes, creeks and playgrounds.
- Collaboration with the golf course designer, to develop course concepts and designs.
- Oversee installation of the landscape works.
- Horticultural consultancy on the golf course.
